The Bachelor: Belize

The Bachelor made its way to Belize this week. There were only six ladies left to start the show, and the ladies that are remaining after tonight's rose ceremony will win the home town dates. The show offered some more shockers and some very entertaining aspects of the show. Lindzi got the first one-on-one date in Belize, and the date took them to the "Blue Hole." They both jumped out of the helicopter into the 500' deep abyss below. There was, of course, a lot of build up that this was a scary thing, but I don't think this jump compared to the jump that Ben and Jennifer took into the cave a few episodes ago. Lest be honest. Jennifer and Ben had to cut a rope and fall into the water that they assumed was below. The cave was dark and they couldn't see a thing. Now that is a leap of faith! This was a fairly simply cliff jump. Cool nonetheless. I think Lindzi and Ben have a great chemistry. Both of them feel very comfortable around one another and they seem to be a good fit. The message in the bottle that they wrote was very cute, and I think it spoke a lot of truths about their relationship and their feelings toward one another.

The next one-on-one date went to Emily. They spent the day tooling around town in Belize. They seemed very natural around one another. The played a little basketball and caught some fresh lobster for the evening meal. I think it was very important that Emily opened up and apologized for the time wasted on the Courtney catfight. It seems like Emily has really grown up in the past few episodes and realized that she made some mistakes. When the show went back to the girls in the resort, Courtney was of course speaking more of her craziness. She was whining about not getting a one-on-one date, and was complaining that she may go home if she didn't get it. She sounded like a conceded nut-job. Apparently Kacie B. was thinking the same thing. Her interview diary was priceless. She had some choice words for Courtney and compared her to a black widow...and here's what she wanted to do to her...SPLAT!!!!!!! (see below)

Courtney, of course, got her wish and got the last one-on-one date. She annoys me more and more every time I hear her voice. She seems incredibly fake. Besides the fact that she is a super model and is willing to skinny dip, I am not sure what he sees in her. When she told Ben she was thinking about not accepting a rose if she didn't get a one-on-one, I was truly hoping he would send her packing right there. I didn't get my wish. Being her classy self, she ended her date with a kill shot to the other ladies! (see below)

The remaining three ladies went on a group date. They dove with sharks, sat by the pool and then.....wait a minute. Dove with sharks?!?! This was one of the craziest dates. I couldn't believe they actually did this. I felt a little bad that Rachel's fear of sharks stole all the time from the other two ladies, but Kacie B. definitely made up for lost time in the hot tub. She professed her love very honestly. Besides the flower on her head changing sides from the hot tub to the interview diary, the date was perfect! Their relationship is definitely growing.

There were no cocktails on tonight's show. Ben went straight to the rose ceremony. Everyone was hoping that Courtney would be going home after their side chat, but we were not so lucky. When Courtney, Rachel and Emily were the only girls left, I was positive that Rachel was going home. I was hoping that Courtney would be sent home as well, but I didn't think it was possible after their little chat. I am still shocked that Emily was sent home, and I think that Ben owed her a little better of a good-bye...perhaps an explanation. Other girls got explanations that were kicked off in earlier episodes. With that said, I could see Emily being a future Bachelorette. The Bachelorette doesn't typically come from the candidate pool that was released from the show this early, but I think it would make for a fun show! The Top 3 can be seen below. I hate putting Courtney in there again, but I can't deny that Ben has feelings for her.
